Welcome to the Crane Register

From the 6th April 2010, new regulations require employers who use conventional tower cranes on construction sites to notify certain information about the crane to the Health and Safety Executive.

This website is part of the statutory register where you can notify of the installation of a conventional tower crane.

To manage your notifications please login or register.

A How To document has been prepared to assist you in completing the notification process.

Please refer to this guidance leaflet if you have any further questions.

Please note: HSE is consulting on a proposal to revoke the Notification of Conventional Tower Cranes Regulations 2010 - the Regulations which set out the duty to notify the use of conventional tower cranes to this Register.  This is included in Consultation Document CD239 which sets out proposals to remove fourteen legislative measures and the consultation period runs from 3 April to 4 July 2012.  Further details about this consultation and how to respond to the proposals can be found at CD239.
